Ezzy's Birthday Party

I'm really late at posting this since Izzy's birthday party was on Aug. 9....but hey! Better late than never, right? Anyways, our cute little niece, Ezabella turned one! Her birthday party was at a park in Ogden and it was a gorgeous day. We had a ton of fun and we got to see a lot of Dominic's family that we haven't seen in a while. Of course, Jacoby loved the playground. So, we missed a lot of the present opening and cake smashing because he was too busy playing. Dad got some good pictures of it though.

Coby playing with Uncle Zack.

Renee with cute baby Winston.

Michelle Maynard and baby Alec.

Payton!

Cody, Jake, and Brad.

The opening of presents begins.

The cake...before

And after. Mmmm.

While the cake smashing was going on, Jacoby and I were climbing the small hill by the playground. He had just as much fun running up and down the hill as he did on the slides.

Wet Jacoby!

Dominic took Jacoby outside on Sunday afternoon and let him play in his kiddie pool. When they got out, Dominic wrapped Jacoby in his t-shirt because he forgot to bring a towel out. I was taking a nap and this is what I woke up to! Isn't he cute?

And tonight, we took Jacoby outside so we could do a few chores. So, we turned on the sprinkler to keep him entertained. He loves to run through the sprinklers. He runs to the center and gasps and runs back out while saying "Yay" and clapping his hands. Too cute. We didn't get any pictures of him in the sprinklers tonight, but here are a few right afterwards.

He had some pretty awesome boogers running down his face, but Dom wiped them off before I took the picture. It was probably for the best.

A Day in the Life of Jacoby

Jacoby has decided that making messes is his favorite new game. He empties cupboards and drawers several times a day and then he's bored with whatever he's found until mom picks everything up and puts it away. Then we repeat, over and over and over....

Here are a few pictures of the demolition.

Tupperware lids. His favorite kitchen drawer to unload.

Big Lego Blocks. As soon as I pick them all up and get them back into the bucket, he dumps them again. Sigh.

Phone in the sink? Why not?

Opening the bathroom drawers and cupboard to find fun stuff to play with.

He has also figured out how to climb. He climbs up and down on our bed constantly throughout the day. He stands on the wooden railing and watches TV. I used to be afraid of him falling, but he hasn't yet so I just let him go now. I guess it's good for his balance and coordination.

I think he's going down here.

This is what I came out of the shower to the other day. He climbed up on the bed and was just laying there watching Tigger and Pooh.

July 24 Camping Trip

We went camping with Dominic's cousin Josh and his family and friends for our annual July 24th camping trip! It's Josh's birthday weekend and so we head out and celebrate! This year, our group consisted of: Nate and Michelleand their son Porter (9 months), Dom's friend Bob and his teenage kids, Josh and Jess with Ezabella (1 year), and new friends Mark and Kensy and their daughter, Marley (1 year). So, there were 4 babies and I must say that every one of them was pretty darn good. All of them except Jacoby were first time campers.

The group.

Aw, cute family.

We stayed around camp and just hung out for the most part. We got a travel camping hammock for our wedding that we've had stowed away in the trailer and we finally pulled it out and used it this weekend. I don't know what took us so long, that thing is comfy! We also managed to go into Bear Lake for a few hours on Saturday. The lake was absolutely packed! We found a nice little sand bar that we hung out on and stayed until some nasty looking clouds rolled in. All in all, we had a great weekend!

Jacoby and Marley at the lake. Mark is in the background taking their picture too! Marley absolutely loved the water and the beach. She was such a happy little girl.

Porter loved his little tractor. I snapped the picture just as he was looking up. Nate was too busy building mini sand castles to pay attention.

Bear Lake

During our camping trip (see post below), we ventured into Bear Lake. We love Bear Lake and so do the dogs, and we wanted to see how Jacoby would like the beach and the water. He liked the sand more than the water, but he was pretty good about getting wet as long as one of us was with him. He wouldn't walk into the water alone, but he would let us carry him out and dip his legs or he would sit in our lap and let the waves hit him. We only stayed about an hour because Jacoby got cold (the wind was blowing and the water wasn't the warmest), and it was lunch time. So, after we wore the dogs out, we packed up and headed back to camp.

Dirt, Dirt, and More Dirt

We took Jacoby camping this weekend and he loved it! He loved it because there was a ton of dirt everywhere for him to play with. He put a handful of dirt anywhere he could...the dogs, their water, the chairs, the trailer, the truck, mom, dad...you name it and it had dirt on it at some point. Of course, during the dirtying of camp, he had to rub his face and cloths too. Clean was a joke this weekend, but that's okay. He had a blast and was so good for us. He slept well, ate well and played well. It was a great time.

Yay dirt!

Friday night, Dominic took Jacoby up all by himself while I had time off with a friend! They did great, but I sure missed them. The first picture is when they first got there. Jacoby was so happy and so was dad!

Saturday Morning...still happy!

Saturday afternoon when I got there.

Good Morning!

Every morning when Jacoby wakes up, we get him a cup of milk and put him in our bed and turn on the Disney Channel. He just lays there and watches TV with me for about a half an hour, then he's up and ready to play. Morning snuggle time is the best!
