Dad and Coby

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Please read below...I've made several posts today.

Dad and Jacoby had some snuggle time tonight while watching a movie. Jacoby has been a huge grump today, so it was nice to have him quiet for a minute and snuggle with Dad. I snapped a few pictures because it was just cute.

Zoned out on the movie.

Sledding

We have gotten about a foot of snow (if not more) in the last 2 days. Jacoby wanted to go outside this morning, so we bundled him up in his new snow pants and mittens. He hated the mittens and actually kind of pouted for the first few minutes he was outside. We put him in his little sled and Dominic pulled him around and he wouldn't crack a smile. So, we got him out of the sled and tried to let him walk around. He wouldn't let us put him down and threw a fit when we tried. So, we held him for a minute and tried to make him feel comfortable and then he heard the dogs barking. We took him around back and let the dogs run around and play in the snow and Jacoby decided that he liked the snow after all. He had a hard time walking around in it because it was so deep, but he enjoyed it. Now, he's decided that he actually likes his mittens. He keeps running up to dad with the mittens and asks for them to be put on.

Grumpy boy.

Still no smile

Starting to have fun...

Trying to walk through the snow.

The dogs love the snow

Christmas Tree

We finally got a Christmas tree and put it up the other day. Jacoby thought that it was pretty cool and wouldn't leave it alone. We strategically put it in a corner with the couch right next to it to minimize the amount of tree that he could actually reach and play with. It's a pretty tall tree, so the top looks over our half wall into the dining room and he loves to point out the "star" during dinner. Thank goodness for shatterproof ornaments too. He has grabbed them off of the tree several times and thrown them across the room, banged them together, or stuck them in his mouth.

Yes, those are ornaments in his hands. He had been banging them on the floor. Thank goodness for plastic.

I know that I look crazy, but I was trying to get Jacoby to smile and look at the camera. He wanted to look at the tree and he was trying to wiggle out of my arms and touch it.

Day at the Zoo

Here in Logan, we have a tiny little zoo called Willow Park. They don't have much; just a bunch of birds and a couple of deer and elk. Jacoby loves it though, because you can buy food for a dime (I think it's just dog food) and feed the ducks. So, he was bored a couple of weeks ago and we decided to get him out of the house for a bit. It was cold, but he didn't care. He chased the peacocks around and we bought him a ton of food to feed the ducks. We were the only ones there, so the ducks were hungry and Jacoby didn't have to squeeze in with a bunch of other kids. He loves it! He teases the ducks and holds food just out of reach and tries to make them grab for it through the fence. He holds his mouth open along with them and gets so excited when they get it, and he thinks it's even better if they nip at his finger.

The peacocks aren't penned up. They are free to roam the park, so he could get quite close to them.
