Bath Time Fun!

Jacoby absolutely loves his bath time. He stands by the side of the tub while it's filling and jumps and squeals with excitement. We have a ton of toys for him to play with and he is all over in the tub playing with whatever toy floats his way. I think when Jacoby gets bigger, he is going to hate the fact that his little naked bath time pictures have been posted on the internet for years, but oh well. I think it's cute.

Baby Achmed

Last night, Jacoby was crawling around playing. I looked down and he had found one of his burp cloths and draped it over his head. His burp cloths are his little security blankets and he usually sleeps with one, but this was a first. He left it on his head and chewed on it for about 20 minutes while he played all over the house. We had to laugh at our little terrorist!





I just had to throw this picture in because it's so cute! We took this on Saturday morning right after he woke up. Random Cuteness!

Jacoby's First Owie

Jacoby has fallen and bumped his head in the past, but he's never drew blood or left a lasting bruise on himself. Last week, when Dominic's parents were in town, he was crawling on the carpet and as soon as he hit the hardwood in the kitchen, he face-planted. I don't know if his arm got caught or what, but he hit his mouth on the hardwood floor and gave himself a bloody fat lip. He did it right after he ate and he cried so hard he threw up on me (again!). So, we had to put him in the tub. While he was in there, I decided to get the camera and document his first injury. The pictures don't do it justice, the poor kid had such a fat lip!





Then, this week on Tuesday, he did again! Same lip, same side. He bruised his poor gums the second time around and I think that's what finally knocked his top tooth through.

New Years

Well, New Years didn't quite work out as we planned this year. The party was at Dominic's Aunt and Uncle's house in Plain City. His Aunt Chela's birthday is on New Years Eve, so it's usually quite a party. Dominic's family drove up from Vegas for the New Year. It was a ton of fun with everybody!

Anyways, Jacoby was doing okay until about 10:30 when we tried to put him to bed. He hadn't been sleeping well, he was in a new place and we never let him stay up that late. Add all of that together and we got faced with a very fussy little boy that managed to throw up all over me, my purse, his diaper bag, etc. Dominic wasn't feeling well himself, so he said, "We're going home". So, at 11, we packed up and drove home. We got home just in time to watch Dick Clark and the ball drop. Dominic's mom came with us so she could spend more time with Jacoby. We had just spent 5 days in Las Vegas and I think Jacoby wanted his own crib, and he was starting to get sick. I managed to make it 14 months into his life before he got his first cold, and it was a doozy. He got a sinus infection and then a cold on top of it. I had him into see the doctor twice because his cough was so bad. During all of this, he broke through 2 teeth on the top (finally!) and is getting 2 more. Anyways, I didn't get any pictures of the New Years Eve party, but here are a few from the next morning.

Christmas!

Okay, so I know that this is really late, but here is my Christmas post! We spent Christmas down in Las Vegas with Dominic's family. It was a nice relaxing week and we all had a great Christmas! Jacoby got a ton of toys, Dom got the greatest sweatshirt in the world (it says "Got Jacoby?"), and I got a Nintendo Wii and the Wii Fit. I had never played with a Wii until right before Christmas and I was hooked! Dominic did awesome! The Wii Fit is really cool too and maybe it will help me in my battle to shed my baby weight.
