Jacoby is 4!

How quickly time flies once you're a parent. Jacoby just turned 4! It seems like yesterday that I was holding a sweet little newborn and counting fingers and toes. Now, he's a big, rambunctious 4 year old! For his birthday, Dominic's family came up and we went to the American West Heritage Center. Jacoby had a blast running around, going down the giant slide, and he actually rode on the ponies! It was a gorgeous day and it was nice to spend it in the fresh air.

We're all ready to go for a ride on the train.

Aunt Cinny was helping Jacoby pet the horse.

Cute little Riley and Grandma.

Jacoby on the ponies! We were shocked that he wanted to ride and he did really good!

The big slide. I think he went down this slide about 20 times. He wore himself out climbing back up the hill.

Aw, cute.

After the fun outdoors, we headed back to our house and sang Happy Birthday to Jacoby and let him open presents. He got a "Cars" cake and he loved the frosting on it. My mom and dad joined us for the cake. It was a great day!

Blowing out his candle.

He was so excited to pull the little "Lightning McQueen" off of the cake.

Mmmmmm....frosting

He got frosting everywhere. He was happy about it though!

Recent Pictures

So, I haven't updated the blog in a while and we've got a month's worth of pictures that I haven't posted. First up, my adorable boys. I went out with some girlfriends one night and while I was gone, Dominic got some cute pictures of the boys.

Such cute boys! They're getting so big and so much fun.

Haha, a random cute Riley breakfast picture.

In the middle of September, Dominic's sister Bobbi had her first baby. A sweet little girl named Avery. We headed down to SLC to see the new addition, but we stopped and dropped the kids off at Bobbi's with their grandparents first. Jacoby is playing with Grandpa, his favorite person.

Proud papa with sweet baby Avery.

This last weekend, we headed to SLC again to see the family and we went to Wheeler Farms. It's a big, gorgeous, historical farm. They had wagon rides and a pumpkin patch for the kids and a Farmers Market. It was such a nice day and the kids had a blast.

Jacoby was kicking the pumpkins. Turd.

Me and Riley in the Farmers Market.

There was a lady that was doing face painting at the Farmers Market. Jacoby actually sat down and let her paint his face. He doesn't usually let people mess with him, so this was a big deal.

The finished painting.

Aw, cute! Grandma and Riley.

I love this picture.

Kickball

Okay, I'm behind on posting again. Jacoby's kickball ended in the middle of September. We had a game every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks and it was a blast. It took him a few games to warm up to playing, but he did great once he grasped the game. The coaches were awesome with the kids and every kid got a turn to kick the ball and run the bases. Nobody got "out" and they didn't keep score. As soon as all the kids on one team had a turn to kick, they would switch and it was the other teams turn. The kids in the outfield would go after the ball (sometimes) and then just hand it to the coach. It was a fun way to introduce team sports. Next up: Spring T-ball.

He wanted to kick so he's sitting with the wrong team. Silly boy.

And here is a short video clip of Jacoby kicking the ball, and then another one of him in the outfield.
