Crazy Face!

Riley's cute little personality is coming out more and more every day. He now does "crazy face" on command (usually) and it makes us giggle every time we see it. He grimaces and balls up his hands into fists and makes his crazy face. It's hard to get the whole effect from a picture, but I tried.

So cute! He makes me smile.

He thought that my drink was fun to chew on.

I took Abby outside to potty the other day and when I came back, Riley was waiting for me at the gate at the top of the stairs. He pulled himself up onto his knees (which is a relatively new skill), and was happy as could be. I couldn't resist getting a picture.

Friday night, my friend Michelle and I decided that we needed a girls night out. So, we went to Wendover! We had a ton of fun and I actually came home with more money than I started with. While we were off playing, our husbands and kids hung out. Jacoby and Porter are such good friends and they are so cute together.

They were snuggling right before bed.

A Birthday Party, School Pictures, and a Mohawk

Last weekend, we went to a Birthday Party for cousins Nevaeh (she turned 3) and Winston (2). It was at Dominic's Aunt and Uncle Wilson's house and it was a great time. We got to see family that we haven't seen in a while, and Jacoby had a blast running around with all of his cousins and his Auntie Kris. As usual, we didn't take many pictures, but here are a few that we did take.

We had to go try out the swings in the backyard. This is Riley's first time in a swing. He loved it!

The boys outside enjoying the fresh air.

And that's about it for pictures. We didn't even get any inside the house where the party actually was. We're lame.

In February, Jacoby's school sent home a notice that they were taking school pictures. Dominic and I both kind of laughed and said "good luck". That was pretty much the last I thought about it. Then, earlier this week, I opened Jacoby's backpack and got a very pleasant surprise. His pictures came in and they turned out great! He looks so grown up and so handsome.

And lastly, I was giving Riley a bath the other night and I started playing with his hair. It's finally starting to grow in and it even has curls in the back. So, I spiked it into a fun bath time mohawk. He's so dang cute.

Riley is getting so big! He learned how to shake his head "no" this week (oh, boy). He is also now fake crying if you tell him no or to get your attention, and he's finally crawling normally instead of an army crawl. They grow so fast.

9 Months

My handsome boys!

Riley is now officially 9 months old and huge. We had his 9 month check-up this week and he is now off the charts for his height. He weighed in at a healthy 21 lbs 5 oz, and is 31 inches long! His weight was in the 65% and his height was over 100%. He's going to be 7 ft. tall if he doesn't slow down! He is perfectly healthy and so happy! His cute little personality is really starting to come out and he loves to laugh. The Dr. even commented on what a little character he was.

Even diaper changes are hilarious.

Riley absolutely loves Abby. She is so good with him too. He climbs all over her, kicks her, pulls her hair and her ears, and she never growls or seems to get angry with him. She's such a good dog.

Foot to the face!

He is trying to climb lately. He doesn't go around objects that are in his way, he goes over them. He hasn't figured out how to pull himself to standing positions yet, but he's getting close.

Big Boy Underwear! The kid is still not potty trained and pretty much refuses to use the toilet (Grrrrr...), but he likes his Toy Story Underwear!

Swimming!

Spring Fever has officially set in. So, we decided to get out of the house and go swimming today! We went to Downata Hot Springs in Downey, ID. I was a little apprehensive about outdoor swimming in 50 degree March, but the water was so nice and warm. Riley absolutely loved it! We brought a little floaty and he just hung out in that and was happy as could be. When we finally got out, he was pink from his armpits to his feet. It wasn't cold. Jacoby just wanted to play on the pool ramp but when he got too cold, one of us would grab him and drag him into the water to warm back up. Afterwards, we had pizza in their little cafe. It was a fun day and we definitely have to do it again.

Daddy and Riley right when we first got in.

Jacoby being a chicken and only going up to his knees on the pool ramp...

I made him get in. He was hanging on for dear life.

Happy Riley! Check out those teeth!

They had these tubes that you could use and Dominic finally coaxed Jacoby into one.

Right before we left a family came with a little girl that was Jacoby's age. He finally started getting into the pool on his own and was having fun. Both of them got in the tube and Dominic was pulling them around and they were having a blast.

Here is a little video of Riley having fun in the pool.

On our way home, I saw a sign that said "Elk Farm, Turn Right to See Big Bulls!", so we turned right....

They were big!

I have to throw in these next 2 pictures just because. I took them last night. Riley chews and bites on everything and lately, he'll just hang out with stuff in his mouth. I remember Jacoby doing the exact same thing.

And one of both of them. Such cute kids we have.

Catch Up!

I've gotten behind in my blogging again. So, bear with me. This is going to be a long, picture-filled post. First off, I have the cutest kids. Ever. Riley is such a happy boy! He is crawling everywhere, and loves to explore and get into everything that he can. Jacoby is growing and learning so much every day. He now will say a word and tell you what letter is starts with. He is so smart! They are getting so big, so fast.

We went to Cabela's a couple of weeks ago. This was Riley in the stroller while Jacoby was running around checking out the fish.

The fish at Cabelas are huge! Jacoby loved them!

Dominic's family gathers in Ely, NV, every February for a quick weekend of gambling and ice-fishing. We haven't gone for the last couple of years because it's just not a place for small kids and being stuck in a hotel room just isn't fun for anybody. However, Dominic decided that it would be fun to take Jacoby this year and take him ice fishing while I stayed home with Riley. Jacoby had a blast! He loved to touch the fish while out fishing and the pool in the hotel was his favorite. Unfortunately, they didn't get any pictures while fishing, but here are some of the pool play.

Jacoby with his favorite 2 people in the whole wide world.

Back in the room after playing in the pool. I think it was close to bed time.

And now, here are some random pictures from the last week.

Riley exploring. He crawls under, over, and through anything that he can. This is his little rocking chair that he will no longer sit in.

Love those cheeks!

We had a massive snow storm and Dominic took Jacoby out to help him shovel. This was when they came back in.

Riley loves his big brother!

It was Dr. Suess's birthday this week, so the kids made Cat in the Hat hats in school. Jacoby loved his and wore it all over the house.
