Cookie Monster

I made Chocolate Chip cookies the other day and Jacoby has liked them only so-so. He'd only eat them if we'd break off a bite and give to him. We tried to give him a whole one, but it all ended up on the floor instead of in his mouth. He didn't like being messy either. He had chocolate on his hands and he just held them out and kind of whined until I wiped them off. This morning though, he saw a cookie sitting on the coffee table from last night and grabbed it. He ate the whole thing! He took bites by himself (which we've been struggling with) and ate it all! He was quite the mess afterward, so I had to take pictures.

He was trying to watch Tigger and Pooh...I just kept laughing at him and trying to snap a picture.

This picture is from Sunday when we tried to let him eat a cookie himself. That was just the warm up, I guess.

What a life!

This morning, I needed to get some laundry done, so I used Baby Einstein as a babysitter. I picked Jacoby up and tossed him in the lovesack, gave him a blanket and a stuffed animal and I turned the TV on. Viola! Instant Babysitter! I got laundry done and the dishes and he didn't move. I had to snap a few pictures because he looked so comfy and cute.

I had to throw this picture in because it's cute. Dominic tried to give Jacoby a shampoo mohawk the other night, but his hair is too long! It just kept curling to the side. I love how Jacoby is squatting too, he looks like a little frog!

Snow Day!

Just yesterday I made the comment to Dominic that it looked like Spring was on it's way. It was a gorgeous day yesterday and all of the snow had melted out of our yard. He warned me that Spring is never on it's way in March. He was right! This morning we woke up to a good 8 inches of new snow and it hasn't stopped all day long. I would bet that we have about 12-15 inches and it's not looking like it's going to stop any time soon. We were only supposed to get 1-3 inches. Gotta love the weatherman. As you see the pictures, keep in mind that we had absolutely no snow yesterday.

Anyways, Dominic went to work early this morning so he didn't get to see Jacoby before he left. So, he came home for lunch. We bundled Jacoby up and took him outside and played. It was really coming down though, so we only lasted a few minutes. We put Jacoby in his sled and dragged him down the sidewalk and back. He didn't seem to mind all of the snow that was falling and he likes being pulled in his sled. He had fun and so did Dominic!

Getting ready...

Wow, I look a little evil...

Jacoby and Morgan's Playdate

On Friday, Jacoby and I met Jaime and Morgan at the Cache Valley Fun Park. It's a play area for kids and they actually keep it clean, unlike every other place here in the valley. They have a huge floor to ceiling Jungle Gym that is covered in soft foam so that even if they fall, they won't get hurt and it's enclosed with netting so they can't fall out. The kids had a blast running around and playing while Jaime and I chatted in between chasing them. We stayed for about 2 hours, but unfortunately, I didn't bring the camera. Later that night, Jaime and Morgan came over to hang out since Jaime's husband, Nate, had to work that night. I did get some pictures that time! They are so cute together and Morgan absolutely loves Jacoby. She loves to be near him and she'll hug him every chance she gets. She is such a sweet little girl. We had a blast with them and we can't wait to do it again!

They were taking all of the books off of the bookcase and watching Sesame Street.

Aww, hugs!

Jacoby was trying his darndest to get away, but she was persistent. He finally just started to cry, so I rescued him. I put him to bed shortly after this and Morgan kept trying to climb up the stairs to go look for him.

No More Pee!

As most of you know, Tug (our Jack Russell), is not fixed. Dominic felt some strange attachment to his "rollers" and couldn't bear to cut them off. Therefore, he lifts his leg and pees. For the last couple of months, he's been peeing in our house. I never see him doing it, I just find evidence of it later. Within the last week or two, he's started peeing on Jacoby's toys. Damn Dog! I cleaned the whole house on Sunday and the next morning, Dominic smelled pee. We found pee on Jacoby's big stuffed horse, on 3 of it's legs! I was beyond pissed. So, I decided that we had to do something or I was going to cut off his penis or worse.

My friend Michelle had a dog that was peeing in the house and she made a belt that wraps around him. She just puts a maxi pad in it and he still lifts his leg, but he can't spray any of their furniture. So, I decided that I would try to do that too (thanks Michelle!). I went to my moms and we created a small little belt with Velcro to wrap around his haunches and keep his peepee covered. I stuck a maxi pad in it and wrapped it around him last night. He didn't care for it at first, he kept running in cirlces trying to bite it and he'd almost buck like a horse. It was funny to watch. Thankfully, he couldn't get it off and he eventually seemed to get used to it. And, I think it worked! We took it off of him when he went to bed in the garage and he hadn't peed it in, so I took that as a good sign. But, last night was the first time we used it. I hope it continues to work, because I've had enough of the pee. He has peed on every piece of furniture that we own, Jacoby's toys, the carpet, the walls, etc. If it doesn't work, we may just have one dog...

He is not happy with me, can you tell?!

I had to throw this picture in of Abby, she is such a good dog. Especially now that she is feeling better. She had some tummy pain this last month that really bothered her. The vet never did figure out the cause of it, but the meds he gave us worked. She's back to her old happy, energetic self.

Sleeping Baby

Yesterday, Dominic and I had to go sign the closing paperwork for refinancing the house. So, I called my mom to have her watch Jacoby so we didn't have to worry about him being underfoot. I was a little worried about how he was going to behave for her though since he refused to nap. When he gets tired, he turns into a little beast. When I left, they were watching Tigger and Pooh and Jacoby was settled in on Grandma's lap. When I got home, I found him sound asleep, still on Grandma's lap. No Fair! He never does that for me or Dominic anymore. He'll sit with us for about 5-10 minutes and that's it. He must have been tired. Needless to say though, he was good for Grandma and she got a nap too!

More Walking Video

We've taken more video of Jacoby walking. He's getting brave and will stand against our bed and let go by himself and walk to me. We do laps all day long now. He loves it, but he's not brave enough to walk any further than from our bed to our closet. Last night, Dominic got the camera out again.
