Jacoby's Hats and Awesome PJ's

Lately, Jacoby is really into hats. Dominic has a couple that are knit and Jacoby likes to put them on. He looks like a little hippie!

We also bought him a hat with ears and he won't leave the house without it. He loves it and if he sees it, he puts it on himself. He had it on the other night while he was playing with his dad and he had put it on backwards so the ears were up high on his head and it just looked funny.

He's finally figured out that when we get the camera out, you say "cheese" and smile. Almost every time he sees the camera now, he says "cheese".

Lastly, Jacoby has hit a growth spurt lately and has suddenly outgrown all of his PJ's (seriously, he outgrew everything with in a week or two). So, we hit the after Christmas sales looking for cheap PJ's. We found these PJ's at Kohls and they say "Daddy's Little Sidekick". Jacoby never gets excited about clothes and could care less how I dress him, but when he saw these, he got so excited! He would run around with them on and stop to look at his feet or his wrists. He absolutely loves his new PJ's.

He was getting ready for bed, so the PJ's weren't as fun and he wasn't into the camera at the moment.

Dad and Coby

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Please read below...I've made several posts today.

Dad and Jacoby had some snuggle time tonight while watching a movie. Jacoby has been a huge grump today, so it was nice to have him quiet for a minute and snuggle with Dad. I snapped a few pictures because it was just cute.

Zoned out on the movie.

Sledding

We have gotten about a foot of snow (if not more) in the last 2 days. Jacoby wanted to go outside this morning, so we bundled him up in his new snow pants and mittens. He hated the mittens and actually kind of pouted for the first few minutes he was outside. We put him in his little sled and Dominic pulled him around and he wouldn't crack a smile. So, we got him out of the sled and tried to let him walk around. He wouldn't let us put him down and threw a fit when we tried. So, we held him for a minute and tried to make him feel comfortable and then he heard the dogs barking. We took him around back and let the dogs run around and play in the snow and Jacoby decided that he liked the snow after all. He had a hard time walking around in it because it was so deep, but he enjoyed it. Now, he's decided that he actually likes his mittens. He keeps running up to dad with the mittens and asks for them to be put on.

Grumpy boy.

Still no smile

Starting to have fun...

Trying to walk through the snow.

The dogs love the snow

Christmas Tree

We finally got a Christmas tree and put it up the other day. Jacoby thought that it was pretty cool and wouldn't leave it alone. We strategically put it in a corner with the couch right next to it to minimize the amount of tree that he could actually reach and play with. It's a pretty tall tree, so the top looks over our half wall into the dining room and he loves to point out the "star" during dinner. Thank goodness for shatterproof ornaments too. He has grabbed them off of the tree several times and thrown them across the room, banged them together, or stuck them in his mouth.

Yes, those are ornaments in his hands. He had been banging them on the floor. Thank goodness for plastic.

I know that I look crazy, but I was trying to get Jacoby to smile and look at the camera. He wanted to look at the tree and he was trying to wiggle out of my arms and touch it.

Day at the Zoo

Here in Logan, we have a tiny little zoo called Willow Park. They don't have much; just a bunch of birds and a couple of deer and elk. Jacoby loves it though, because you can buy food for a dime (I think it's just dog food) and feed the ducks. So, he was bored a couple of weeks ago and we decided to get him out of the house for a bit. It was cold, but he didn't care. He chased the peacocks around and we bought him a ton of food to feed the ducks. We were the only ones there, so the ducks were hungry and Jacoby didn't have to squeeze in with a bunch of other kids. He loves it! He teases the ducks and holds food just out of reach and tries to make them grab for it through the fence. He holds his mouth open along with them and gets so excited when they get it, and he thinks it's even better if they nip at his finger.

The peacocks aren't penned up. They are free to roam the park, so he could get quite close to them.

Snow Day!

We finally got snow the other day! Jacoby loves to be outside and play, and it was no different even with the snow on the ground. He didn't like to touch it, but he thought it was great to run and play in. He would walk and look at his footprints on the ground and purposely drag his feet and kick to see how it would look in the snow. He was fun to watch and play with. Believe it or not, but these pictures were taken at about 3 in the afternoon. It was just one of those dark winter days.

He actually had held his hands out to let the snow fall in them and then he was moving them up to his face to either see better or eat or something!

We moved out back to play with the dogs. He was chasing Abby around and having a blast.

A Few New Pictures!

Jacoby has been figuring out how to climb lately. I'm not really that happy about it because he usually manages to fall too. We have a bench under our kitchen counter and I wondered how long it would be before he figured out that he could use that as a step stool to get up on the counters. All it took was some leftover Halloween candy.

I still love this face!

It's a little blurry, but it's a cute picture. He loves the Smarties!

He actually did climb all the way up on the counter, but I put the camera down and pulled him off before he could hurt himself. Thankfully, he hasn't done it again.

Dominic has also shown him that he can move his step stool out of the bathroom to get to things that he wants. Lately, he thinks that turning lights on and off is tons of fun. So, he moves his stool from the bathroom down the hallway and sets it underneath the light switch and has a great time flipping them on and off. I guess that there are worse things that he could be doing.

To conclude my overdue post, here are the last set of pictures. Jacoby loves to sit at the end of our bed and watch movies. I know that I've posted pictures of this before, but he is just so darn cute, I had to do it again! He also loves his new slide and so we snapped a few pictures of him playing on that too.

That's a happy boy!

Huh?
